Our Lawyers

George J. Witous attained a bachelor of arts degree graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1953 and attained a juris doctor degree from DePaul University in 1958. He has represented clients in estate planning, probate, real estate and formation of business entities, including partnerships, corporations and LLCs, for 50 years. His practice also includes the representation of villages and public bodies since 1964.

Dan Witous obtained his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1991, and earned his juris doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1998. After graduating from law school and passing the bar exam, Dan joined the firm of George J. Witous, P.C. Dan's areas of practice include real estate and estate planning, which encompass such topics as landlord/tenant, real estate sales and purchases, condominium law, wills, trusts, guardianships and probate.

Our Practice

Our practice includes representation in matters involving:

• Estate planning. Our goal is to counsel you regarding the best strategy for end-of-life distribution of assets in order to enable you to make an informed decision in this regard. We prepare all documents necessary to establish and implement your estate plan.
• Probate. If you are the nominated executor, administrator or personal representative of a decedent's estate, we will guide you through the probate process, or any of its alternatives, for the purpose of administering and settling the estate.
• Real estate. We advise clients involved in residential and commercial real property transactions, from the negotiation of the contract to the closing. We also handle landlord-tenant issues, condominium representation and zoning disputes.
• Business law. We will help you determine the appropriate business form, such as corporation, partnership or LLC, and will prepare and file the documents required to establish your business in compliance with Illinois business laws, as well as continued representation after formation including the negotiation and preparation of business contracts.
